Ledyard Financial Group (OTCMKTS:LFGP) Stock In Focus After New Appointment

Last week, the Chief Executive Officer of Ledyard Financial Group (OTCMKTS:LFGP) and Ledyard National Bank, Kathy Underwood, made a major new announcement. At the Annual Meeting of Shareholders that had been held on May 18, she announced that she would retire from her position on July 3 this year.

It also emerged that the President of Ledyard, Josephine Moran, took up the role of Chief Executive Officer and President effective May 18. However, it was also announced that Underwood would continue to be a member of the company’s Board of Directors.

It was back in January last year that Moran joined the company as its Chief Banking Officer and President. The Chief Banking Officer had been newly created by the company at the time and in that particular role Moran was responsible for overseeing the financial center banking and product development.

Additionally, she had also been responsible for taking care of bank-wide operations, information technology, and compliance among other aspects of the business. The change of guard at the top of the company would possibly bring the stock on to focus among investors over the course of the week. It may be a good idea to keep an eye on it.
