Major League Football (MLFB) Announces Mobile as Final Host City for Inaugural 2022 Season

Major League Football on June 23, 2022, announced Mobile, Alabama as the fourth and final home city for the inaugural season, commencing August 9. Mobile will be joining the earlier announced Canton, Little Rock, Ohio, Arkansas, and Virginia Beach, which support the firm’s vision of exciting football played within a sustainable business model. The company’s team will be known as Alabama Airborne and the home games would be played at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. On the other hand, Arkansas Attack home games would be played in the historic War Memorial Stadium. The home games for Virginia Armada will be set in Virginia Beach Sportsplex whereas Ohio Force fans can cheer the team at the Canton Hall of Fame Bowl.

MLFB CEO Frank Murtha expressed delight in announcing Mobile as MLFB’s fourth host city. Murtha added that the four teams will provide supporting markets for the season as well as a solid foundation for Spring 2023 as the company looks to become America’s home for Professional Spring Football. The CEO further stated that the addition of Mobile to the league line-up positions the company for this season and beyond.

Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson expressed excitement about being one of the only four cities across the country to host an MLFB team for summer training camp as well as games. Stimpson added that this would make a significant economic impact as hundreds of visitors enjoy MFLB.
