NASDAQ Energy Update: CMLT, DWSN, PNRG, CHK, APA

CM Life Sciences III Inc. (NASDAQ:CMLT) is another stock in the energy sector which has been showing consistent rise. The stock has moved up 2% over the past one quarter. Moreover, the stock has soared 14% so far this year. The stock is trading above 2% from its 52-week low and 13% away  from its 52-week high.

Dawson Geophysical Company (NASDAQ:DWSN) stock continued to trade in a range after the recent jump. The stock has moved up about 21% in the past quarter. The stock is trading above 33% from its 52-week low and just 48% away from its 52-week high.     

PrimeEnergy Resources Corporation (NASDAQ:PNRG) stock continued to trade in a range after the recent jump. The stock has moved up about 34% in the past quarter. The stock is trading above 97% from its 52-week low and just 31% away from its 52-week high.    

Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NASDAQ:CHK) stock has seen solid buying interest over the past quarter with a gain of over 18% and leading the top spot in the oil & gas sector. Moreover, the stock has soared 37% so far this year. On Friday, CHK stock fell 3.88% to $61.74 with more than 1.38 million shares exchanged hands, compared to its average volume of 1.46 million shares. 

APA Corporation (NASDAQ:APA) stock continued to trend lower in Friday’s trading session. APA stock ended lower by 5.73% to $26 with more than 12.42 million shares exchanged hands, below its average volume of 9.76 million shares. The stock is trading above 138% from its 52-week low and 16% away  from its 52-week high.

Allied Energy Corp. (OTCMKTS:AGYP) AGYP deserves a look from oil and gas investors, as they recently announced signing a new lease and also struck oil on their leased well sites in Texas. Global energy prices are at 7 year highs. With the need for more domestic energy growing apparent, AGYP and its US based exploration projects may benefit. AGYP recently issued news that they have achieved production on the #1, #2, and #5 wells of the Gilmer Lease in Texas. AGYP announced they are also making progress on the Prometheus lease.
