Innovative agriculture focused technology firm delivering financially robust solutions for crops, AgriFORCE Growing Systems Ltd (NASDAQ:AGRI) announced on July 13 appointment of senior government affairs executive, Amy E. Griffith, to its board of directors. Griffith will be serving on the board’s Executive Compensation, Audit, and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees.

Griffith is Wells Fargo’s State & Local Government Relations Senior Leader for the NorthEast Region, which includes regions like New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island , Vermont as well as Maine. She was taken onboard to the company’s Public Policy Team in 2019, in which she has led Wells Fargo’s legislative and political agenda in the region as well as managed relationships with local and state policymakers and community stakeholders.

Amy also led government relations for 16 states in Eastern US for TIAA starting 2008-2019, for TIAA for more than ten years. Her success in lobbying across high-profile issues, included the pension reform legislation adopted in Pennsylvania. She has also worked in aerospace, education, high tech,private and public sectors, managing high-profile political campaigns at the national, state and local level.

Griffith said that she was honoured to the join the board of AgriForce which will facilitate awareness and help in advancing the firm’s disruptive business model around the unique IP and next generation agricultural facility.

Market Reaction:

On Tuesday, AGRI stock fell 14.50% at $3.95 with more than 3.25 million shares, compared to its average volume of 8.74 million shares. The stock had moved within a range of $3.8000 – 4.5900 after opening the trade at $4.40. Over the past 52-week, the stock has been trading within a range of $3.6500 – 8.4500.
