Yesterday, the company announced that its sustainable beef project in collaboration with Dakota Valley Growers (DVG) had been bestowed with a grant from the Agricultural Products Utilization Commission of North Dakota.

Dakota Valley Growers and Bion Announce First Grant for Sustainable Beef Project

The grant would fund the costs related to the initial development of the project. DVG is a cattle feeder which is involved in the development of sustainable beef cattle feed operations. The total value of the grant was $128,500 to DVG for the purpose of covering as much as 75% of the initial development costs. That would entail the engineering related work, designing, legal work and permits.

Both DVG and Bion Environmental Technologies engaged the services of engineering teams to start the work related to move toward the application for conditional permits. It was noted yesterday that the applications could be submitted in the next two months and soon after a public hearing could also be held. The project is expected to provide a range of other benefits to the state of North Dakoda and that would include the development of a market for local feeder calves.
