Cannabis Bioscience International Holdings (OTC:CBIH) Stock On Watchlist After Recent Development

This morning, most investors are going to keep an eye on the stocks of those companies that were in the news cycle on Wednesday, and one such company is Cannabis Bioscience International Holdings Inc. (OTC:CBIH). Yesterday, the company announced that it had enrolled the first patient in the clinical trial pertaining to its intra-articular CBD-based injection for treating knee osteoarthritis.

In the news release, the company announced that it was looking to test its product on the first patient. Once the collection was completed and a thorough analysis of the clinical outcomes was completed, Cannabis Bioscience International would begin enrolling a larger sample of patients for the purpose of administering the treatment so as to evaluate its efficacy in greater detail. The innovative formulation from the company, called Orthocann, is composed of naturally occurring compounds and some novel CBDs from Cannabis Bioscience International.

The company noted that the composition could help in the regression and slowing down of the damage to the knee cartilage, thereby helping with lubrication. Cannabis Bioscience International hoped that following the clinical studies, Orthocann would be seen as a product that could be an alternative to corticosteroid injections. Those injections can provide relief to patients but could have considerable adverse effects if used frequently.

Some of the adverse effects constitute systemic adverse effects and tissue damage, among others. The Research and Development Director at the company, Dr. Jose Torres, spoke about the new product yesterday. He expressed his excitement about the prospects of the new injection and went on to note that the therapy could help in improving the quality of the patients’ lives considerably. It could also help those who may be looking to go for knee replacement surgery and help those patients regain their autonomy. He called the product a significant milestone for Cannabis Bioscience International.
