DRYWORLD Brands Inc. (OTC:IBGR) Stock in Focus After Announcing Partnership With Purdue Point Guard Braden Smith

There were a number of companies that had come on the news cycle on Thursday, and one of those was DRYWORLD Brands Inc. (OTC:IBGR), a sports performance brand with premium offerings. The company announced yesterday that it had entered into a partnership with Braden Smith, the star point guard at Purdue University. The agreement had been made for a one-year Name Image and Likeness (NIL) deal, which made DRYWORLD Brands the official merchandise and brand partner of Smith.

In the news release, the company announced that the agreement also included a complete merchandise offering as well as dedicated eCommerce support for merchandise sales to fans. The merchandise sales would be launched during March Madness 2024. Brian McKenzie, the Chief Executive Officer of the company, spoke about the deal yesterday. He noted that everyone at the company was excited about the opportunity to back Braden Smith. Through the deal, the company would offer Smith, as well as the fans, high-quality basketball equipment for the March Madness period and beyond.

McKenzie also stated that Smith was at an elite level as a basketball player and had matched the Big Ten freshman records, which had been held by DeAngelo and Magic Johnson. He went on to note that DRYWORLD Brands believed Smith and the company made a perfect match. They matched because the company’s commitment to supplying athletes with performance-driving products aligned with the drive and determination of Smith as an athlete.

In this regard, it should be noted that Braden Smith is an emerging star and is the fifth player in the history of the NCAA to have hit 425 points, 200 rebounds, and 250 assists in a season. It would be interesting to see if the collaboration leads to higher attention for the DRYWORLD Brands stock.
