On Thursday Kontrol Technologies Corp (OTCMKTS:KNRLF) was one of the companies which had come on to the news cycle after it made a key announcement. The company, which is involved in smart cities and buildings, announced yesterday that it had been successful in concluding the Phase 1 testing of its Kontrol BioWater technology.

The testing proved to be a success as it helped in detecting the COVID-19 virus in wastewater positively. It goes without saying that it was a major new development for Kontrol and it is going to be interesting to see how the stock reacts over the course of the coming days following the announcement.

The Chief Executive Officer of Kontrol Technologies, Paul Ghezzi, spoke about the matter as well. He noted that everyone at the company was thrilled at the fact that the BioWater technology had been able to demonstrate positive results in the first phase of its testing.

He went on to add that at this point in time, there is considerable demand for biomonitoring technologies among governments as well as in the private sector so that it can be easier to manage viral outbreaks of any kind.
